
Smoked Cod Fillets

Responsibly caught from the cold Atlantic waters off the coast of South Africa, this skin-on Hake (a member of the Cod family) has a flaky white flesh, mildly flavoured with natural smoke and colour, then snap frozen to lock in freshness and taste.

PREPARATION & COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

EASY COOK IN 15 MINUTES

Keep frozen at -18°C and once defrosted use within 2 days. Do not refreeze.

Once thawed keep below 5°C and consume within 48 hours. Do not refreeze

Product must be thoroughly cooked before consumption.

Thaw Cod fillets in the refrigerator overnight before cooking

PAN POACH, 10-15 MINS

Pre-heat a saucepan and add Cod fillets, enough water to cover the fillets, ½ teaspoon of butter and ½ cup of milk.

Heat the mixture until it boils, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until fillets flake easily with a fork.

GRILL, 20 MINS

Preheat grill, place Cod fillets on a baking tray, brush the fillets with melted butter.

Place baking tray in middle of the oven and grill for 6 minutes turning half way through cooking.
